The eight grand bedrooms come with all of the facilities of the modern world, and them some. The castle features a commanding view of the Tiber Valley between Umbria and Tuscany at 580 meters above sea level. This is a special place for families and friends travelling together - and in general for all those searching for the ultimate destination for a luxury experience in Umbria. The castle features fireplaces in each room, velvet drapes, renaissance tapestries, frescoes, artwork, designer and antique furniture,  and with the fantastic view, are all married in a perfect union to create the unique atmosphere of this spectacular property. Restoration commenced in the mid 1980's and finished in 2012. This property is situated in an area, which is an ideal home base for sorties into both the Umbrian and Tuscan countryside; for instance, it is merely half an hour to the Trasimeno Lake, a heaven for kids with many activities including boating and any sort of outdoor fun. The castle is in fact half an hour from Gubbio and slightly more than an hour from the traditional villages of Norcia and Cascia with their traditional food products (ham and salame) and the ski station of Forche Canapine. The airports in Rome, Florence and Pisa are each about two hours away, while Perugia’s airport is about thirty minutes away. Umbria, and in particular this area, has a massive presence of Art, history and culture as well as abundant natural beauty

All bedroom have ensuite bathrooms and living room areas. Fireplaces are in every bedroom, living and dining room, creating, again, a very special medieval atmosphere

Though the castle offers the quiet of a private location, it’s just a 10-minute drive to a restaurant, grocery store, tennis court and golf course. You’ll find a church, medical center, train station and even the airport just 15 minutes away by car, as well as downtown Perugia. Sun worshippers will want to make the 90-minute drive to the beach, while those who prefer snow can make the 120-minute drive to a ski area.

Activities on property include private cooking classes, truffle hunting, wine tasting, biking and hiking.Activities available nearby include golf, tennis, horseback riding, canoeing and rafting on the Tiber River, fly fishing and hot air ballooning.
