The villa features a curved pool with an infinity edge overlooking the lush green mountainside. The grounds also include a summer kitchen with a gas grill. A choice of two terraces provide lovely alfresco dining and lounging options. Inside, you will find satellite TV, a DVD player, Wi-Fi access, a library and a study.

The high quality decor is impressive and includes several contemporary works of art and furniture by the celebrated designers Philip Stark and Emanuel Hook. Yet, almost everywhere you look, the uneven stone walls hearken back to a bygone era of gladiators and centurions. In the rooms that have retained the original walls of this residence, the exposed wooden beams provide another glimpse back into the historical design. The kitchen comes equipped with all the modern necessities for the culinary genius of the group.

Five magnificent bedrooms, several of which retain traditional walls, accommodate up to ten guests at Les Baux de Provence. The bedroom on the first floor of the main house provides access to a large Roman-style bathroom with a bathtub, a relaxing bedside fireplace and a private terrace. The bedrooms on the ground floor provide direct access to the terrace, pool deck and summer kitchen.

Nearby Isle Sur La Sorgue, a mirage-like city built around a series of canals, makes a fabulous historical site to visit during your stay in Provence. For golfers there are several excellent courses in the area such as the picturesque nine hole Golf des Baux-de-Provence and the lovely eighteen hole Golf de Servanes at Mouriès. Golf de Nîmes as well as Golf de Pont Royal, perhaps the finest course in the region, are both less than forty minutes away.
